
Beef Steak and White Beans

INGREDIENTS
360g - Beef tenderloin steak, boneless
1 tb - Olive oil
1 pc - Small onion, raw, finely chopped
2 cloves - Garlic, minced
1 ½ cups - Cannellini beans, canned
½ tb - Rosemary, fresh, finely chopped
½ tb - Basil, fresh, finely chopped
¼ tsp - Salt
⅛ tsp - Black pepper
UTENSILS
Saucepan, Silicon kitchen brush, Chopping board, Knife
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Season the beef with ⅛ teaspoon salt and ⅛ teaspoon pepper.
2. Brush a saucepan with ½ tablespoon olive oil. Heat over medium-high heat.
3. Add the seasoned beef and leave the beef to caramelise without moving it for 2–3 minutes or until it has a dark golden crust. Turn the steak over and repeat until you reach your desired doneness. Set aside.
4. Heat the ½ tablespoon olive oil in another saucepan over medium-high heat.
5. Add onion and garlic, sauté for 3 minutes or until tender. Toss in the beans and the fresh herbs. Season it with ⅛ teaspoon salt. Reduce the heat to low and sauté for another 5 minutes.
6. Plate the steak on the serving plates and serve it with cooked white beans on the side.
