INGREDIENTS

2 cups - Barley, hulled, washed, drained


600 g - Chicken breast, boneless, skinless, cubed


2 pcs - Cinnamon sticks


1 tsp - Freshly ground pepper


1 pc - Chicken broth cube


2 L - Water


8 tsp - Butter, unsalted, melted

UTENSILS

Measuring cups and spoons, Chopping board, Knife, Cooking pot, Hand mixer, Stainless steel cooking spoon, Ladle, Serving bowls

INSTRUCTIONS

1. In a large cooking pot, add the barley, chicken, cinnamon stick, freshly ground pepper, chicken broth cube and water. Stir well.


2. Bring to a boil, then lower heat to simmer.


3. Stir the soup constantly and simmer until the barley is soft. Remove the cooking pot from the stove.


4. Remove the cinnamon stick from the soup and discard.


5. Blend the soup using a hand mixer until it becomes a thick and smooth consistency.


6. Ladle in serving bowls and garnish with a tsp of melted butter on top.
