
Spiced Blackberry and Apple Oat Bake

INGREDIENTS
500ml - Skim milk
1 tsp - Ground cinnamon
1 pinch - Salt
2 - Apples, peeled, cored, and cut into 1cm cubes
200g - Rolled oats
1 - Egg, beaten
1 tsp - Vanilla extract
1 tsp - Baking powder
100g - Pecans, roughly chopped
300g - Blackberries, fresh or frozen
2 tb - Butter, unsalted, melted

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C.
2. Spread the diced apples and blackberries evenly across the base of the baking dish.
3. In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, pecans, cinnamon, baking powder and salt.
4. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, maple syrup, vanilla extract and melted butter.
5. Pour the wet mixture over the oat mixture and stir until fully combined.
6. Spread this oat mixture over the fruit layer, ensuring the fruit is evenly covered.
7. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes until the top is golden and the center is set. Let the bake to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
8. Serve warm.
