Spicy Scrambled Tofu with Capsicum

INGREDIENTS

500g - Firm tofu


1 - Onion, finely chopped


1 - Red capsicum, finely chopped


3 - Green chilies, finely chopped


1 tsp - Cumin seeds


1 tsp - Red chili powder


1 tsp - Black pepper powder


1 tsp - Turmeric powder


2 tb - Coriander (cilantro) leaves, finely chopped


1 dash - Salt


2 tsp - Vegetable oil

UTENSILS

Pan, Mixing bowl, Chopping board, Knife

INSTRUCTIONS

1. In a bowl, crumble the tofu and keep it aside.


2. Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat.


3. Add the cumin seeds, onion, capsicum, green chilies and ginger. Sauté on low to medium heat until the onion and capsicum become soft and tender.


4. Add the turmeric powder, red chili powder and black pepper powder. Sauté for 3-4 minutes.


5. Add the crumbled tofu and salt. Sauté for 3-4 minutes.


6. Garnish with the chopped cilantro. Serve the spicy scrambled tofu with rice.
